Retention

When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. At Hill Orthodontics, we can’t stress enough the importance of this phase of your treatment.

The retention phase is a crucial part of your final orthodontic result. All of the hard work you put in while wearing braces is not the end of treatment; it is vital to always be faithful about wearing your retainer.

Because we care and want to help you maintain that beautiful smile you’ve worked so hard to create we include 24 months of retention follow up visits with every case. We also include a set of custom craft removable upper and lower retainers that are delivered when your appliances are removed.

Where possible we also placed an upper and lower fixed retainer which is cemented directly to the inside surface of your upper four front teeth and lower 6 front teeth. This is one of the best ways to prevent your front teeth from shifting as it is permanently attached!
